The world around us changes without warning, affecting our students and making our jobs harder. Some days we are exhausted and anguished. And yet. We are STILL passionate about our students and love what we do. We never, ever give up. Still, we teach.
I have worked in education for almost 20 years as a teacher and program evaluator. My book, Grit in the Classroom, is available August 2017. I now think of myself as an edumatrician ("trician" = to treat; "edu" = education). I love working with teachers and I'm so happy you're here!
A little about the pages on this website:
Teacher Talk: Real talk by a real teacher about the issues that face educators today. I present educational news and research and then provide you with the "so what" to help you with practical application. I hope you find my ideas thought provoking and inspiring.
Turn the Page: Book reviews! I only share books I love, most of which are young adult (with a few adult books mixed in). I hope you find a title to add to the stack on your nightstand.
